Grupo SID strengthens alliance with supermarkets of the Dominican Diaspora in the U.S.

Grupo SID reaffirmed its support for the Dominican diaspora and its commitment to independent supermarkets in the United States by participating in the Encuentro Invernal Retailers Winter Retreat, held in the Dominican Republic.

This event, conceived by the Supermarket Alliance Group and its founder, Alex Soriano, unites two great Dominican passions: baseball and business, with the purpose of integrating the owners of independent supermarkets in the United States, among them the more than 600 affiliates of the National Supermarket Association (NSA).

The meeting was attended by important executives of Grupo SID, led by its executive president, Ligia Bonetti; Lil Esteva, executive vice president of Induveca; and Roberto Bonetti, vice president of Investments and Exports of Grupo SID. Also present were the president of the NSA, Samuel Collado, and members of its board of directors, on a day that sought to strengthen ties between the Dominican industry and its representatives abroad.

During the activity, Grupo SID’s business and export team presented key information about the Crisol Oil and Estelar Super Special Salami products marketed in the United States, and highlighted their quality and authenticity as a reflection of Dominican tradition.

These initiatives not only seek to expand the presence of the brands of the conglomerate’s companies, but also to strengthen their relevance among Spanish-speaking communities.

The NSA, an organisation that groups supermarkets from Massachusetts to Florida, represents a network in which 99% of the owners are of Dominican origin, which clearly demonstrates the impact of the diaspora in the business sphere.

The Encuentro Invernal Retailers Winter Retreat has established itself as a key space for sharing commercial strategies, strengthening relationships and recognizing the contribution of independent supermarkets to the economic and social development of their communities. For Grupo SID, this event represents an opportunity to thank the continuous support that emblematic brands such as Crisol and Estelar Super Special Salami have received from Dominican consumers abroad.

The activity reinforces ties with the Dominican diaspora and reflects Grupo SID’s commitment to accompany Dominicans in their business endeavors, promoting joint development and strengthening cultural identity through its brands. With these initiatives, the business conglomerate reaffirms its mission to generate well-being and be present for Dominicans in any corner of the world.
